WASHINGTON, D.C. — Risant Health, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of millions of Americans by increasing access to value-based care, has announced that Mae Douglas was named to its board of directors.
Douglas brings a wealth of experience to the Risant Health board as a retired human resources executive, community leader, and philanthropist.
Her career in human resources spanned two industries, culminating as the executive vice president and chief people officer at Cox Communications, Inc. She was responsible for managing the company’s human capital strategy, helped navigate Cox’s workforce through significant culture shifts, and was instrumental in building its infrastructure for human resources.

Douglas has served on the Cone Health board of trustees since 2018, including a term as board chair. She also serves on the Cone Health philanthropic board.
Douglas has received numerous awards for her professional and volunteer work, including the ATHENA Award from the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and the Vanguard Award for Leadership from the National Cable & Telecommunications Association.
